About us
We believe that we all have a part to play, whether small or big, in this crisis which is affecting both our well-being and the well-being of our planet. As indicated by scientists and the IPCC reports, we have the answers and solutions right in front of us and we have to
act now.
Our main aim is to help everyday people take immediate action against climate change by achieving deep decarbonisation.
We also aim to support natural resource protection and restoration projects.
Planet Fundation seeks to raise awareness and ignite actions through #PlanetFUNDays, fun and enjoyable moments that will bring together global citizens around the world. Planet Fundation actions remain feasible thanks to donations and fundraising events.We believe that together, we can make a real difference.
Our projects
Thanks to the tremendous work of peers of other non-profit organisations, we have facts that heating affects our carbon footprint, principally oil boiler heating system.
Heating our houses does contribute in damaging our climate. By doing this every year during cold weather, we burn fossil fuels that release a large quantity of carbon dioxide into the air (greenhouse gas), creating and enlarging this 'blanket' that is covering the earth and trapping the heat.
Heating equipment that uses fuel oil not only damages our climate but also our health.
We hope that with time, we will be able to widen our scope of actions but for NOW, and in order to respond effectively to this emergency, we will focus on helping households, everyday people, who lack funds, to replace their actual oil boilers by boilers which have lower emissions.Despite financial aids that are available by government authorities and companies in some countries, many homes are striving to make a living, and switching to a greener heater system, is not and cannot be their priority.Millions of oil boilers need to be replaced, and this will be our first MISSION.
How we will do this
For our first immediate mission, funds that you will provide us, will be 'lent' to people who wish to replace their oil boiler.
The required amount of money will be provided to them for free in exchange of some volunteer time in a non-profit organisation located locally, near their homes. The amount given will determine the time that has to be dedicated to a non-profit organisation, and this period of time can be carried out alone or in groups (family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, pets ...).
A give and take solution making us better global citizens.
Our contribution to Sustainable Development Goals
Replacing residential oil boilers with greener heater systems, will contribute in improving the quality of air and thus help preserve human health and
well-being.
Households lacking funds will be given a free opportunity to have access to a cleaner energy for heating their homes.
Natural resources are becoming scarce due to human massive consumption. Ending oil boilers will contribute in reducing our reliance on these natural resources.
Oil boilers are mainly responsible for climate-damaging greenhouse gas emissions as they emit six times as much as CO2 as a heat pump. Ending this heating system will help take immediate action against climate change.
Protect and restore terrestrial ecosystems and and promote their sustainable use
Support projects that help protect and conserve natural resources such as agroforestry, terrestrial wetlands ...
Millions of oil boilers are still running all over the world, financial support from different sectors, as well as professional partnerships, will be required to reach this goal.
